Title: Unable to Locate My Database File on
Vista
Overview:
When running FLEETMATE on Windows® Vista, Vista will actually store your
database in a "VirtualStore" folder, completely different from the
normal C:\Program Files\FLEETMATE folder where you would you expect it to
be stored. This is normal behavior with Vista.
In order to view and access this path on Vista, you will need to use Windows
Explorer to navigate to the "C:\Program Files\FLEETMATE"
folder, and then click the "Compatibility"
button in the upper portion of the Explorer window. You will then see the
VirtualStore folder path where your database file is stored, which will resemble
the path below:
Alternate Method:
You can change this default Vista behavior by following the steps below.
Your database will then be located in the "C:\Program Files\FLEETMATE"
folder as it was on prior versions of Windows. Using this approach, Vista will
request confirmation each time you run FLEETMATE.

FLEETMATE

the FLEETMATE icon
