Title:
HOW TO:
Install FLEETMATE on Terminal Server
Procedure:
Terminal Server uses a special installation mode for installing applications
for multi-user use. This mode is activated by installing FLEETMATE through
the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs tool or by using the command "Change
User /Install" at a command prompt. After running the "fmsetup.exe"
installer from "Install" mode, you should return to normal execution mode by using the command
"Change User /Execute".
Following the installation
process, change the FLEETMATE shortcut "Target" value from "FLEETMATE.exe"
to "fm32.exe". This process is also covered in more detail in the
FLEETMATE Installation Guide.
Once FLEETMATE is installed, create a share on a server to store your FLEETMATE
database file, and copy the database file to that share. Each user account will
need to grant Full Control to the folder where your database is installed. It is
also recommend that you map a drive to the share containing your database for
ease of use.
Your registration key is stored under each user's profile, so each user will
need to enter the registration key one time to register the software for their
use.
