HOW TO:  Install FLEETMATE on Terminal Server

Procedure:
Windows Terminal Server uses a special installation mode for installing applications for multi-user remote access. This mode is activated by installing FLEETMATE through the Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs applet.

On Server 2008, use the Install Application on Terminal Server wizard via Control Panel to run the FLEETMATE installer.

An alternative approach will be to perform the installation from a command prompt at your server. First, open a command prompt. Next, place your server in install mode by using the command "Change User /Install" at the command prompt. At this point, execute the "fmsetup.exe" (or fmeesetup.exe for the Enterprise Edition) installation program to actually install FLEETMATE on your server. After running the installer while in install mode, you should return your server to normal execution mode by using the command "Change User /Execute". You may now close your command prompt session.

Additional installation and start-up information is available in the FLEETMATE Installation Guide for the Standard Edition and the FLEETMATE Enterprise Administrator guide for the Enterprise Edition.

A FLEETMATE registration key is stored under each user's profile, so each user will need to enter the registration key one time to register the software for their use.
