Title:
HOW TO:
Install FLEETMATE on Terminal Server
Procedure:
Terminal Server uses a special installation mode for installing applications
for multi-user use. This mode is activated by installing FLEETMATE through
the Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs applet.
And alternative approach will be to perform the installation from a command
prompt at your server. First, place your server in install mode by using the command "Change
User /Install" at the command prompt. At this point, execute the "fmsetup.exe"
installation program to actually install FLEETMATE on your server. After running the "fmsetup.exe"
installer while in install mode, you should return your server to normal execution mode by using the command
"Change User /Execute". You may now close your command prompt
session.
Additional installation and start-up information is available in the
FLEETMATE Installation Guide.
Once FLEETMATE is installed, create a share on a server to store your FLEETMATE
database file, and copy the database file to that share. Each user account will
need to grant Full Control to the folder where your database is installed. It is
also recommend that you map a drive to the share containing your database for
ease of use.
Your registration key is stored under each user's profile, so each user will
need to enter the registration key one time to register the software for their
use.
